The Walk Is Underway!
12th October 2007
Friday 12th October saw our first walkers set off from the East Fremantle Football Club on the first leg of their 22 day 700km trek. Head over to the walk page to keep up to date with all the goings on in the daily journal entries.
Kerry Coates Passes
22nd September 2007
Sadly on Saturday 22nd September 2007, Kerry Coates lost his battle with MND pasing away peacefully at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.
Launch Dinner
23rd August 2007
Kerro’s Crusade for MND was officially launched, at a fantastic Gala Dinner on Thursday 23rd August to a packed-out Billy Walker Room at Subiaco Oval.
Over 500 supporters attended this magnificent event which was generously hosted by Eddie McGuire and Michael Thompson. Several sporting identities supported the event including Alan Border and Dean Jones who have both been involved previously in charity walks in Australia.
A huge amount of effort was put in by Ken Judge, one of our patrons. His organising committee and a band of helpers, including the wonderful staff of Ray White Real Estate, are to be congratulated for their outstanding efforts on behalf of all people living with MND (PLWMND) .
Thanks also to the many sponsors, donors and volunteers for making this night a truly memorable one for everyone who was fortunate enough to be present. Andrew Startin, the comedian on the night, was “special” and “clever”. Special thanks to the auctioneers for their skills in getting those present to part with their hard-earned money for PLWMND.
